Up to now, the cumulative volume of commodity gas in the coal seam gas field of the Shanxi Qinshui Basin in North China Oilfield has exceeded 10 billion cubic meters, which is equivalent to more than 8 million tons of oil and gas.

Shanxi is one of the provinces with the highest degree of enrichment of coalbed methane resources and the largest development potential. Data show that the amount of 2,000 meters of coalbed methane in Shanxi Province was about 8.31 trillion cubic meters, accounting for about 1/3 of the country. In the next three years, the annual output of the Qinshui coal seam gas field of North China Oilfield is expected to reach more than 3 billion cubic meters.
