Hebei West Ocean Reservoir to Baiyangdian ecological replenishment is about 21 million cubic meters

The reporter learned from the Baoding Water Conservancy Bureau of Hebei Province that since this year, the West Ocean Reservoir, located in Tang County, Baoding, has successively implemented ecological hydration from Baiyangdian in Xiong'an New District. The cumulative water release is 28 million cubic meters, and the amount of water flowing into Baiyangdian water is about 21 million cubic meters.

The Western Ocean Reservoir is located in the upstream of Baiyangdian. It is a national (I) reservoir. After the reservoir is injected into the main canal of the Tanghe River, it flows into the Fuhe River through Baoding Da Water System Project. Essence According to Ma Jiancai, director of the Tangxian Water Resources Bureau, the Western Ocean Reservoir is an important water source of Baoding City and the spare water source of Beijing. It has carried out ecological hydration to Baiyangdian for many years.

During the ecological hydration, Baoding City formulated a hydrating pipe protection plan to conduct a comprehensive clean -up and inspection of the water channels, and arranged a special person for 24 hours in key parts to prevent discharge sewage, dumping garbage, and toxic and harmful items in the water channels and related waters.

It is understood that ecological hydration will play a positive role in promoting the virtuous circulation of the ecological environment of the upstream basin in Baiyangdian, improving the ecology of Baiyangdian water, improving the quality of Baiyangdian water, and maintaining Baiyangdian water balance. Since the establishment of the Xiong'an New District, the Western Ocean Reservoir has accumulated a total of 400 million cubic meters of downstream river channels and Baiyangdian ecology.
