The incident of "crocodile eating people" actually happened from time to time, and the "crocodile eating" incident in a village in Uganda lasted for 14 years!

Uganda is a country located in eastern Africa. Most of the whole territory is located in the East African Plateau. It has an average altitude of 1,000 to 1200 meters. It is known as the "Plateau Water Village". This has therefore become one of the "residences" loved by Nile.

Nile crocodile is Africa's largest crocodile and the largest reptile. They are mainly distributed in the African Nile River Basin and the southeast region. In addition, there are also distribution in Madagascar.

Nile crocodiles like to live in water, but many areas in Africa are divided into dry and rainy season. As soon as the dry season, a large number of animals will die due to lack of water. In order to avoid this unfavorable survival conditions, Nile often digs the cave on the river bank with his mouth and feet. During the dry season, the Nile crocodile hid under the ground until the next rainy season.

It is also not easy to be found under the ground, and often there are events of crocodile "eating people" and "hurting people".

How cruel is the crocodile, even worse than sharks!

For 14 years from 1991 to 2005, in the village named Luganga, Uganda, a crocodile named "Osama" kept troubled local residents.

Seeing this, readers must have some questions: "Osama" isn't it the leader of the global terrorist organization?

Why do you give a crocodile? If this crocodile is compared with humans, it can indeed be called the "terrorists" in the crocodile world.

This crocodile is even more brutal than sharks. Its powerful bite force can even penetrate the bones of large animals, with a bite force of up to 2268 kg; Great White Shark is currently the most aggressive species among all sharks, but its mouth -bite bite bites Power only reached 1857 kg.

Generally, the Nile crocodiles are mainly used for birds, memesterers and crawled animals. Occasionally, when they are extremely hungry, they try to kill the lion, but the favorite food of this crocodile is "human".

During these 14 years, the crocodile "Osama" killed more than 80 villagers in the village before and after. According to the "Daily Star" report, it would rush out of the water when the children arrived by the lake, or they took them out of the water, or Stealing under the fishing boat, deliberately lifted the boat to hunt humans.

The villagers were miserable and had to collectively respond to the relevant departments, but the answer given by the other party was that the crocodile had the right to freely prey and ban people from arresting or killing it.

The local government's attitude made the villagers in the village of Luganga disappointed. Is this "food crocodile" so unhappy, can they only be slaughtered?

In 2005, after a 12 -year -old boy was eaten by "Osama", people finally couldn't bear it. They could no longer serve as the crocodile "slaughtering", so they found the government and asked them to remove the "food crocodile".

This time, it may be forced by the pressure of public opinion. The local government compromised. They sent some officials to the local area to discuss with the villagers how to arrest the "murderer".

After discussing, they finally decided to use the "Jiang Tai Gong Fishing" to lead the crocodile. Officials hung on the tree with a pair of beef lungs. After a while, the hungry "Osama" appeared in people's sight, and eventually successfully fell into the trap set by the villagers.

After being dragged ashore, officials still banned villagers from killing "Osama". They thought of a good place to go to the Uganda crocodile farm as a "crocodile."

The crocodile skin produced by the crocodile farm is specially sold to Italy and France. The small crocodiles produced by the "Osama" will eventually be peeled by the farm after their death, making a variety of crocodile skin products.

Because of its "treasure", it is difficult to escape human slaughter

However, from another perspective, the Ugandan government banned the residents of Luganga village to kill "Osama". Because it is all "treasures", greedy humans deliberately exaggerate their "value" and will continue to raise their worth. If the government does not intervene, it will not be used shortly, this species will tell people forever.

In fact, since the 9th century AD, Nile Crocodile has become the target of human hunting.

Wild Nile crocodiles are low -risk species, and some areas may have been endangered, so they have been included in the "Red List of Endangered Species of the World Nature Conservation Alliance".

Nile Crocodile was once the "God" believed by the ancient Egyptians

In the legend of ancient Egypt, crocodile is one of their "magic" raw materials. Perhaps because of the power of Nile, or because it made the ancient Greeks "magic". The ancient Egyptians had regarded this fierce animal as "God" and called it "Sobar".

Sorbeck (also known as: Sebeck) is a crocodile god in ancient Egyptian mythology, the patron saint of the Nile River, and the patron saint of the royal power. The shape is a personal crocodile head. The skin and tail of the whole body are covered with hard scales. Occasionally, Sobake will also become a crocodile pattern in the Nile.

The crocodile god plays an important role in the life of the ancient Egyptians. When they believe that when the lake was formed, the crocodile lived here, thinking that crocodile was the creator of rights.

Crocodile God first appeared during the first dynasty, that is, from 3000 BC to 2890 BC. When the king Aha was attacked by an enemy in the Fayum area, he was helped by the crocodile god. Escape the trap. Later, in order to thank the crocodile God for his help, Aha built a temple for Crocodile God in Fayum. Hearing "God" is always respectful, this seems to be more in line with the setting of the Nile crocodile. After all, in the face of such powerful creatures, the power of people seems to be even smaller.

But today in the 21st century, mythology is not advocated by people. The "God" once now even become a pet of people?

Can crocodiles still be "pets"?

In October 2018, a 60 -centimeter -long crocodile appeared in the outdoor parking lot of the Hushan Garden, Qingyang Street, Jinjiang. Fortunately, the firefighters arrived in time and handed over the crocodile to the relevant units for disposal. According to analysis, this crocodile may be a pet crocodile.

The number of pet crocodiles on the market is relatively limited. Generally, only Thai crocodiles, that is, Thai crocodile, is one of the crocodiles. It is 3-4 meters long, with fierce personality and carnivores. There are a few selling Kaimen crocodiles. Kaimen crocodile can grow to about 2 meters. It is considered a small crocodile. Because the body is smaller than the Thai crocodile, it is also more popular. Above rice is also more popular.

However, don't think about the Nile crocodile mentioned in the beginning of the article. Although now the artificially cultivated Nile crocodile can be said to be very common, if you want to breed it as a "pet", then the ending may only be You have become one of its "reserve food".

What the article wants to tell you at the end: Whenever you face strong carnivores, you must protect your life safety. If you want to raise a pet crocodile, you must raise it from a young age so that it is familiar with the owner's smell when it is not dangerous, otherwise ... you are just a piece of "meat" in its eyes.
