In order to face the global trend of thought and serve the soft power of the national culture, the Central Academy of Fine Arts established the history of cross -cultural art as a key area for the construction of art disciplines in the "double first -class" construction. Starting from the perspective of cross -cultural art, the history of cross -cultural art, exploring the cultural context of art, the generation mechanism of patterns, and interaction between different cultural and artistic interaction, and tracking the historical construction process of the community of human destiny. This is a field of research, and it is also a stage starting from the perspective of China and involving the history of global art.

In the 1990s, the Department of Fine Arts of the Central Academy of Fine Arts opened the "Sino -foreign Fine Art Exchange" course in undergraduate teaching. In 2009, the course was adjusted to "cross -cultural art history" and was officially included in the world art history teaching system. In terms of teaching methods, "cross -cultural art history" integrates the view and method of "cross -cultural" and "globalization", encourages students to look at classic works in traditional art history with new eyes, and re -sort out the development of Chinese and foreign art history. Since 2009, it has continued to launch a "cross -cultural art history" course for Shuo and Scholars, and in -depth analysis of research cases of cross -cultural art history.

In the scientific research system, the history of cross -cultural art from the Central Academy of Fine Arts starts from the "China as a method", pays attention to the cross -cultural art phenomenon centered on China, explores new research methods and paths, and gradually constructs a world art history of a Chinese perspective. The research system provides more systematic and in -depth academic achievements for cultural heritage. In recent years, under the leadership of Dean Li Jun of the School of Humanities, the young teachers and doctoral students of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, such as Zheng Yiman, Liu Shuang, Pan Sangrou, etc., have gradually formed a cross -cultural art history team with a master and doctoral student.
