Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, July 12 (Reporter Song Chen and Wang Linlin) Hu Wenhui, deputy director of the National Intellectual Property Office, introduced at a press conference held on the 12th that as of the end of June 2022, my country's effective registered trademark had exceeded 40 million Pieces, a year -on -year increase of 20.9%. Trademark work effectively maintains a fair competition market order, and has played a positive role in comprehensive coordination and sustainable development of the economy and society.

In recent years, my country's trademark applications and registration volume have continued to increase rapidly, and the ability to review the trademark review has continued to strengthen. Hu Wenhui introduced that in 2021, my country's first annual trademark registration review volume exceeded 10 million, which stabilized the trademark registration cycle in the general situation to 7 months, and the market entity was effectively improved.

With the implementation and continuous improvement of the trademark law, foreign investors have further enhanced their confidence in operating development in China. According to Hu Wenhui, at the beginning of the implementation of the trademark law, there were less than 2,000 trademark applications in China. As of the end of June 2022, market entities in more than 200 countries or regions have effective registered trademarks in China, of which the number of market entities from the United States, Japan, Germany, Britain, and South Korea ranks among the top five.

From the perspective of social benefits, Hu Wenhui introduced that as of the end of June 2022, my country has approved a total of 2493 geographical indications products, and the approved geographical indication is 6,927 for collective trademarks and certification trademarks. In the work of rich farmers and rural rejuvenation, the collective trademarks, certification trademarks and regional public brands in geographical indications have helped the cultivation of characteristic industries, and gradually become a "money bag" for farmers to increase their income, and explore the new way out of rural revitalization.

In the next step, the State Intellectual Property Office will continue to strictly follow the trademark registration and protection work in accordance with the provisions of the Trademark Law to provide a strong guarantee for market entities, stabilizing the economic market, and continuous stimulation of market vitality.
