On July 11, a group of Malaysian sweet corn seeds with a weight of 40 kg arrived in Shaoyang. This is the first time that this seed was imported in Hunan Province.

This batch of seeds was introduced by Shaoyang Xuefeng Seed Industry Co., Ltd., mainly used for seed improvement research. Shaoyang's climate soil environment is suitable for sweet corn growth, but the sweetness and soft glutinousness of the local sweet corn varieties are not good. It is understood that by the introduction of foreign varieties, the company can use scientific and technological means to extract the superior gene fragment of imported sweet corn to cultivate new sweet corn varieties suitable for local planting, thereby promoting the modernized planting level of sweet corn agriculture in Hunan Province.

In order to help Xuefeng Seed Industry Company smoothly introduce seeds, at the same time, it is strictly to prevent foreign harmful creatures spread through quotes. Epidemic monitoring, improving the monitoring system of plant protection officers, and establishing a product quality traceability management system. At the same time, actively docking the port customs to communicate into details to ensure that the seeds are efficient, convenient and smooth. After the preliminary quarantine, this batch of seeds will be tried in the isolation garden. The customs will also jointly supervise the seeds of the seeds with the local agricultural department to firmly control the quarantine safety.
