It is learned from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that from July 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Central Cyberspace Office, the National Development and Reform Commission and other nine departments launched the implementation of the 5G application "sailing" action plan for one year, the breadth and depth of my country's 5G network coverage have been continuously expanded , 5G applications enter the fast lane, injecting a strong motivation to empower the digital transformation of manufacturing and promote high -quality economic development.

Statistics show that as of the end of May, 5G networks across the country have covered all prefecture -level cities, counties and towns, and 92%of towns and towns in the country, with more than 12 base stations per 10,000 people. The number of 5G mobile phone users reached 428 million households, and 5G traffic accounted for 27.2%of the mobile traffic, an increase of 19.1 percentage points over the same period last year. 5G applications cover 40 major categories of the national economy, and have been widely used in more than 200 smart mines in the country, more than 1,000 smart factories, more than 180 smart grids, 89 ports, and more than 600 three hospitals. The 5G industry virtual network has accelerated the construction, from 1655 in July last year to 6,518, an increase of nearly 3 times.
