Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, physicists, opticalists, and Xu Xuyi, Beijing Jiaotong University, died in Beijing on July 12, 2022 at the age of 100.

Xu Xuyu, born in April 1922, was born in Linyi, Shandong. He graduated from the Department of Physics, Southwest United University in 1945. In 1955, he received a deputy Dutch degree at the Institute of Liegeifu Institute of Physics at the Soviet Academy of Sciences. He was elected as a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (academician) in 1980.

Xu Xuyu is mainly engaged in the dynamics of composite glow, experimental argumentation of overheating electrons, energy transmission, transient spectrum and optical glow, cathode radiation, field glow, lighting in the early cancer diagnosis. He advocated the establishment of the first luminous research room in my country, as the main founder to establish the "Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of State Physics Open Laboratory" and "Information Storage, Display and Materials Ministry Open Laboratory"; Learn to create the first luminous major in my country, and most of the talents cultivated have become the backbone and academic leaders in the field of luminousness in my country.
