African national officials call for attention to grain security and accelerate the construction of the African Free Trade Zone

Filki, chairman of the non -Alliance Committee, and foreign ministers of various member states attended the meeting. Participants called on the safety of food security in the region and accelerated the construction of the free trade zone (African Free Trade Zone) in the African continent.

Zambia Foreign Minister Kakubo said that food security is of great significance to African countries. The African continent has rich natural resources. As long as it enhances agricultural productivity, Africa is expected to achieve the net export of food self -sufficiency and agricultural products. He called on the African -member members to work together to transform the agricultural potential of the African continent into agricultural capacity to solve the problem of food shortage in the region.

Senegal Foreign Minister Aisa said that the successful operation of the African Free Trade Zone will bring economic growth and social development to the entire Africa. She urged the African member states to speed up the construction of the African Free Trade Zone and benefit it for the African people.

Faki said that despite multiple challenges in the fields of economic development and food security, African countries must adhere to self -reliance and show the world's ability to respond to challenges.

The three -day meeting was Zambia for the first time since 2001 to hold African -League high -level meetings. On the 17th, Zambia will also hold the African Union Middle Age Coordination Association, and 13 heads of state or government head of African countries will attend the meeting.
