Li Xueqiang was born in Sanchahe Village, Lushui Lugang Town in 1959. It is the representative inheritor of the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage projects.

Li Xueqiang loved literary performances from an early age. He often participated in various entertainment activities with his grandfather, and learned more about the customs of the Dai people. In 1974, Grandpa began to teach him the stunt of "upper knife and the sea of ​​fire". After years of tempering and practice, Li Xueqiang was able to independently host the knife rod festival and master the entire process of flowers, knife, knife, knife, knife, vertical knife, and sacrifice activities held before the knife rod ceremony, and to sing different tunes. At the end of the 1980s, the local "upper knife and the sea of ​​fire" skills were lacking funds and inheritance difficulties. In order to rescue and promote this ancient stunts, he raised funds from various parties and made up the required equipment. In February 1988, A performance was performed in the deainer shower, and then became famous. In 1999, the Lufeng National Folk Art Troupe was established, and he joined the art troupe specially engaged in this stunt performance. Today, he is the only inheritor who has fully mastered the stunt of "upper knife and the sea of ​​fire".

Li Xueqiang's "upper knife and the sea of ​​fire" have a wide range of influence among the Pu people.
