The Yellow River is the mother river of the Chinese nation. It is a valuable resource for the survival and development of the Chinese nation and the Chinese civilization. Since ancient times, the Yellow River water has nourished the beautiful and rich land of Ningxia, and has produced two largest inheritance projects in Ningxia: Ningxia leads the Huanggu irrigation district and the Great Wall.

Ningxia's Huanggu irrigation district is one of the oldest large irrigation districts in China, with a history of more than 2,000 years. The four ancient canals such as Qin can, Han can, and Tang Lai can have a total length of 1292 kilometers. In 2017, it was included in the World Irrigation Engineering Heritage List.

The Great Wall built in the intersection of northern farming culture and nomadic culture, witnessing the integrated development of the Chinese nation. Ningxia is known as the "Great Wall Museum of China". The Warring States, Qin, Han, Sui, Ming and other dynasties have built the Great Wall in Ningxia. So far, the Great Wall has a total length of 1038 kilometers and 1225 single buildings. It was included in the World Cultural Heritage List in 1987.

Ningxia quoted the Huanggu irrigation district and the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty, which is the thickest heritage left to Yinchuan. There are not only the water networks such as weaving and dense channels, but also the winding and standing scenery of the Great Wall, which vividly shows the contribution of the excellent Chinese traditional culture created in this area to the process of world civilization.
