According to the latest forecast, from the night of July 18th to 20th, the Sichuan Basin, Yunnan, Guizhou to Huanghuai, and Jianghuai will have a clear rainfall from west to east. 150 mm, up to 180 to 240 mm in eastern Henan, southern Shandong, northern Jiangsu and Anhui, and northeast of Sichuan, and central Hubei. While "cooling and quenching thirst" to the south, the rainfall process also brought high risk of mountain floods and geological disasters to Shaanxi, Sichuan, Chongqing, Hubei, Guizhou, Yunnan, and Shandong.

At present, flood prevention work is in the critical period of "seven or eight". Yu Yong emphasized that the meteorological departments of national business units and relevant provinces must deploy in advance, compact responsibilities, and strengthen the monitoring and analysis of the heavy rainfall process, especially for the best weather that may occur. Service and information report work, strictly implement meteorological early warning and emergency response linkage mechanisms, improve the fine level of services, and give full play to the first line of defense of meteorological disaster prevention and mitigation; attach importance to the summary of the recovery of weather monitoring forecasting and early warning services. The rapid review and evaluation of the entire process work will promote the implementation and detail of the various responses and details of the disaster weather; focus on paying attention to the safety of grass -roots stations, strengthen the personal safety protection of cadres and employees, and coordinate disaster prevention and control and epidemic prevention and control.
