Scientists have newly discovered a small planet that runs around the sun faster than other similar planets.

It is found that its team is determined that this space rock named 2021 PH27 can complete a weekly surround sun movement every 113 earthly days. This is except for Mercury, the most rotating cycle in the solar system, Mercury only takes 88 days around the sun.

However, asteroid 2021 pH27's track shape is more oval than Mercury, so it is relatively closer to the sun. It is about 12.4 million miles (20 million kilometers) from the sun, while the planet Mercury, the closest to the sun in the solar system, is about 29 million miles (47 million kilometers) from the sun.

It is found that the team analysis is estimated that when the sun is close to the sun, the surface temperature of the asteroid 2021 PH27 will be enough to melt the lead -about 900 ℉ (that is, 500 ° C). Falling in the solar gravity well also shows that this small planet has experienced the biggest general relativity effect of known solar celestial bodies. The research team also observed that due to this effect, the ellipse of the asteroid 2021 PH27 has a slight jitter.

It is worth mentioning that the long axis of this track is not stable. The research team said that if the asteroid 2021 PH27 was not ejected to the current track path under the interaction of gravity, it may collide with the sun, Mercury or Venus after millions of years.

Asteroid 2021 PH27 was discovered by astronomers through dark energy cameras on August 13. This dark energy camera is a powerful multifunctional instrument, which is set up on the Blanco 4m telescope at the Intercontinental Obstetrics Observatory, Chile.

The Magellan telescope of this dark energy camera and the Chile Campanas Observatory, and some small telescopes distributed in Chile and South Africa operated by the Lasganas Observatory, were further observed. And in the next few days, the track of the asteroid was determined.

In order to observe the asteroid 2021 PH27, the team members had to postpone some of the original arrangements of these instruments, but they said that it was worth doing this.

Shepade and his colleagues estimate that asteroid 2021 PH27 is about 0.6 miles wide (1 km). They also said that this space rock may have the main belt between Mars and Jupiter, and later was kicked inside because of a gravitational effect with one or multiple planets.

However, compared to the plane of the solar system, the orbit of the asteroid 2021 PH27 tilted 32 degrees. Such a high inclination shows that it may be a comet farther from the solar system. It is arrested to a closer orbit when it passes through Mars or Earth or other rock planets.

A deeper observation and research may help us solve this mystery, but to collect more data, Xie Zade and other astronomers have to wait a few months. It is found that from the perspective of our earth, asteroid 2021 PH27 now runs to the back of the sun, it will not appear for the time being before 2022.
