iPhone 14 Pro Max and Galaxy S22 Ultra drop test: Who is stronger?

All smartphones are fragile, and Apple mobile phones are no exception. So how durable is the new iPhone 14 Pro Max flagship phone?

A few days ago, overseas bloggers conducted comprehensive drop tests on the iPhone 14 Pro Max and Galaxy S22 Ultra.

On paper, iPhone 14 Pro Max is more advantageous than S22 Ultra. It uses a stainless steel frame instead of Samsung's "armored aluminum", and it has a flat display, not Samsung's curved screen.

The most important thing is that the iPhone 14 Pro Max uses a super porcelain crystal panel on the front. This is an exclusive version of Gorilla Glass. Apple claims that it is the most tough glass on all smartphones. It has already existed since the iPhone 12, and it seems to be harder to the present.

Of course, the material of the Galaxy S22 Ultra is not cheap, and the front and back of the device are Corning Gorilla Victus glass+protection.

Falling test 1: Fall on the back

The first test was falling on the back, which is not a good sign for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Apple did not use a ceramic protective cover on the back, but instead used the seemingly not so strong binsea glass. Although S22 Ultra is not injured unscathed, the degree of damage is far less serious than the back of the iPhone.

The sapphire glass of the rear camera is also damaged to a certain extent, although it has no significant effect on the quality of the image produced. Overseas bloggers said this is because the 14 Pro Max camera is slightly more prominent than competitors.

Falling Test 2: Falling in the corner

Corner tests are beneficial to Apple mobile phones. Although the corners of the two mobile phones were damaged, the corners of the Galaxy S22 Ultra seemed to have deeper dents and debris. However, the corner drop did not have any impact on the back glass of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the corners were also very intact and there were no signs of damage.

Falling Test 3: Falling on the front of the iron board

In the tinnic test on the front, the iPhone 14 Pro Max and Galaxy S22 Ultra were suffered from the screen cracking. However, Samsung's wear is much worse, more cracks cover the screen, and the damage of the iPhone mobile phone is controlled in the upper right corner.

At the same time, Face ID continues to work normally, and the display screen fingerprint scanner of the S22 ULTRA model stops reading the fingerprint.

Falling Test 4: Falling the steel plate on the front

The fourth drop test was the last time, and it fell directly to the steel plate, which was very cruel. The damage of the two monitors is more serious, especially on the Galaxy S22 Ultra model, it now has some bad points and more cracks.

The cracks of the iPhone 14 Pro Max model are still limited to a corner, but the number and range of cracks are larger. The shape of the rear glass is worse, as well as the sapphire glass of the camera, which causes some flash of the camera, and the front camera is also damaged.

Who is stronger?

Judging from the four decline tests, the Galaxy S22 Ultra's performance in the back test is better, but in other three drop tests, such as falling in the corner, the front of the iron plate or steel plate test, relatively speaking, the iPhone 14 Pro MAX is stronger. What do you think of it? Welcome everyone to discuss together.
