On September 7, Weilai, one of the new forces of the car, disclosed the second quarterly report of 2022. According to the financial report, Weilai revenue reached 10.29 billion yuan in the second quarter, an increase of 21.8%year -on -year, and exceeded 10 billion for the first time; the vehicle delivery volume reached 25059 units, an increase of 14.4%year -on -year; The interest rate is 18.1%.

In the second quarter, Weilai did not break away from the overall trend of "increasing increasing increasing income". The financial report shows that Weilaita's loss was RMB 2.758 billion, a year -on -year increase of 369.6%and a month -on -month increase of 54.7%. Based on a net loss of 2758 million and the estimated 25,000 vehicles, Weilai lost more than 100,000 yuan for each car in the second quarter of 2022.

Li Bin, chairman of Weilai, said that the industry is currently facing the rise in batteries, raw materials and chip prices, and Weilai's gross profit margin is also affected. On September 2, it exceeded the historical price of 535,000 yuan/ton.

At the same time, Weilai is still continuously increasing R & D investment. In the second quarter of this year, Weilai R & D expenditure was 2.15 billion yuan, an increase of 143.2%year -on -year. Compared with it, the ideal expenditure with Xiaopeng was 1.53 billion yuan and 1.27 billion yuan in the same period.

Another factor in losses is that Weilai is promoting its power exchange technology, and the layout of service network investment is expanding. At present, there are 381 Weilai Center and Weilai Space in the country. They already have 247 service centers and delivery centers. More than 960 power stations have been built. A total of 829 supercharge stations and more than 4140 destinations have been deployed.

In order to alleviate the pressure of rising costs, Weilai Automobile has previously announced that it will adjust its product prices. From May 10th, the prices of various versions of Weilai ES8, ES6 and EC6 have been raised by 10,000 yuan. However, most of the products adjusted after the third quarter will be delivered in the third quarter. Therefore, Weilai's gross profit margin will still face greater challenges in the second quarter of this year. The gross profit margin will rebound from the third quarter.

For the revenue results in the first half of the year, Li Bin said that in the second half of 2022, Weilai expanded production and delivery of multiple new products. "We have witnessed ES7's strong order inflow and began in batch delivery in August. We also look forward to mass production and delivery at the end of September."

From the third quarter, Weilai will further expand its layout in the European market. On August 22, Weilai, the first smart electric flagship car ET7, was shipped in Europe. This year, it will open and deliver users including Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and other countries. The Weilai Energy European Factory, which is invested in Weilai, Hungary, will be put into operation in September. In addition, Li Bin said that in the past five years, Weilai has been studying the US market model, including products and services, and has been preparing in all aspects.

Weilai predicts that the sales revenue in the third quarter is 12.845 billion yuan-13.598 billion yuan, an increase of 31.0%-38.7%year-on-year, and the delivery guidelines are 31,000 to 33,000 units. For ET5, which will start delivery on September 30, Li Bin said that Weilai has made a good preparation for the monthly delivery of 10,000 vehicles in December. ET5 may become a product that has achieved a single monthly sales of a single monthly sales after the ideal ONE.

In 2023, Weilai will usher in a comprehensive replacement of the product. The existing ES8, ES6, and EC6 will be fully switched to the NT2.0 platform.
