In daily life, we are always unavoidable to encounter many negative events. Even if things have passed for a long time, whenever we think of these unpleasant things, we will still get us into EMO.

Speaking of the memory of negative events, people always seem to be preconceived that this memory is not good, it is harmful to the body and mind, and should work hard. Is this really the case?

After research, scholars from the University of Quebec found that over time, negative memory and self -consistent integration can be positive to predict the happiness of people. The most important influencing factor in this is: human emotional regulation ability. Different people have different emotions, which will affect how their negative memory integrates into themselves, and then affects future happiness.

Each of us has a deep understanding, and the memory time of negative events seems to be clearer and lasting than happy events. This phenomenon is called anti -psychological thinking in psychology.

If we cannot connect the context memory to the self -knowledge base, this may cause memory invasion, that is, unconsciously recalls the details of the negative events in the past, which will make people feel happy and emotional immediately.

On the contrary, self -decision theory pointed out that when individuals start to admit and accept their past, present, and future aspects, memory integration will occur. Then, they may coordinate these aspects with their identity, so as to form a coherent self -awareness and have a sense of happiness.

Therefore, accepting past experience is the first step to get happiness. Negative events are inevitable and are an irresistible part of human life, and the memory of these negative events is often more likely to provide people with a sense of meaning and lead to greater psychological growth than positive events.
