Zhang Lu was born in Jilin in 1962. When he filmed the short film "11 years old" in 2001, he was nearly 40 years old. Red Star News: What is the opportunity to make you return to the creation of Chinese movies again? Why choose a story and theme like "Long Confession"?

Zhang Lu: One is the change in my life. I decided to return to Beijing to live. Another is that although I have been teaching to make films in South Korea for more than ten years, domestic life and emotions are still the most familiar. There are many places that I miss, so I think about whether it is possible to return to China to shoot. This time, there is such an opportunity. Some investment companies support this project. The Emei Film Group, who is the first product, trusts me and gives me the opportunity to realize my desire.

Then the space of Liuchuan began to attract me more than ten years ago. When I arrived in that space, I felt that it would be interesting if there was a beautiful and elegant woman reorganizing this place. Isn't there a surname of Liu in our surnames, it should be Chinese. After all, Beijing is the longest time for my life. I know the space between Beijingers and Beijing. Therefore, the space in Liuchuan and Beijing has appeared.

This year I actually made another new film, completely filmed in Beijing, called "The Light of White Tower". I have many unforgettable and desired places about Beijing. The life around Beijing Baita Temple has very strong local characteristics.

Red Star News: Is there a real experience in "Long Confession"? What if are there?

Zhang Lu: The love story in the story, I don't, I am a boring person. But my expression of that emotional state is still familiar. There will be some characters around me. Red Star News: What kind of understanding do you have about love? How does the essence of love express in your movie?

Zhang Lu: Love is the strongest in our various emotions. The works of any era have love, but I have always felt that we can't say the love list, it is just a strong emotion in various emotional relationships. So when I filmed, there will be no "big reunion", or a perfect ending. Beautiful love is very difficult to realize. Red Star News: When you were 39 years old, you made the first debut short film "11 years old", which is too late for you? Why did you start making movies at this time?

Zhang Lu: I think everything can only be in terms of individuals. It may be a suitable age group for me. Some people may be 20 years old. This is the right age group. This can only be varying from person to person.

Red Star News: There are often some ancient poems in your movies. What is the reason? What if you use an ancient poem to describe the current state of mind?

Zhang Lu: Ancient poems are not just things in textbooks or poems. I think the Chinese people have this thing in daily life. For example, sometimes you have a change in emotion, and your heart will be poetic. For example, when the moon is round, when your emotions change, you will unconsciously think of "the moonlight in front of the window". The form of ancient poetry is connected with the emotional state of the Chinese people, and the times are changing, but it can still affect our emotions. I feel very good.

Maybe I am this year (60 years old). This is my first film to be released in the domestic theaters. Although it is the first time, I have never broken the space and human emotions here, so I think, mine Emotion is "like the return of Yan Yan."

Red Star News: It is said that you almost "tailored" the role of Liu Chuan for Ni Ni. What is the process of choosing her? What is the point that moves you most?

Zhang Lu: "Tailor -made" is not necessarily accurate. When I was making a movie, the characters were generally as close as the actor itself, because the actors who completed the character on the screen in the end, the place where the character and the actors are overlapping, the shooting will be "less effective" -hamn if the movie will be more effective. Cooperation with Ni Ni is an accidental and natural process. I have watched a movie she starred in in the past called "Jinling Thirteen Sisters". I have only watched her film so far. At that time, I was very impressed with this actress. Red Star News: There is a voice saying that the emotions expressed in "Long Confession" poked a lot of middle -aged people. What do you think about this? Are you worried that young audiences can't understand the view of the movie?

Zhang Lu: When I created it as a creator, I didn't think about it at all. However, as far as the movie is concerned, the love among them is indeed not the love of young people in the age of 20. I experienced a lot when I was middle -aged and would bring a lot of reflection on past life experience and emotions, so I might feel more.
