A few days ago, a pair of special patients were diagnosed with liver surgery at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Naval Military Medical University (Shanghai Oriental Hepatobiliary Surgery). Both mother and son were patients with liver cancer and received liver cancer surgery on the same day.

"The body recovers a good recovery, and we must continue to take the medicine according to the doctor's order to ensure a good daily life." During the review, the mother and child were relieved to hear Zhou Weiping, the director of the 3rd Department of Hepatitis of the Shanghai Oriental Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital. What is the reason for the mother and the child with liver cancer?

A month ago, the 36 -year -old young mother, Ms. Li, and a 15 -year -old younger son from other provinces and cities, and found liver occupation at the same time during physical examinations. The family came to Shanghai and found Zhou Weiping's team. Because both of them are carriers of hepatitis B virus, and tumor markers rise, both are considered as liver malignant tumors.

After admission, the diagnosis and treatment team improved various inspections and evaluations according to the different situations of the mother and son. "Mom's tumor found earlier, 3 cm in diameter, and local resection; the son's tumor was found late, the tumor was located in the middle hepatitis and leaves, with a diameter of about 8 cm and accompanied by multiple subdue." Zhou Weiping said that considering the mother and child Both of them came to Shanghai to seek medical treatment, and they arranged surgery on the same day to reduce the burden on patients as much as possible.

On August 9, Zhou Weiping's team first implemented a laparoscopic left hepatic tumor resection for her mother, and then implemented a multi -liver tumor resection for her son. The surgery was smooth. After careful treatment and care, the two recovered well after surgery, and the pathological diagnosis was liver cell carcinoma.

Clinically, such a young mother and child are extremely rare at the same time. Analysis of the cause, Ms. Li is a carriers of hepatitis B virus. When she is pregnant, she does not perform hepatitis B in time. At present, her two children are carriers of hepatitis B virus. And for various reasons, the three have never performed regular antiviral treatment.

Zhou Weiping introduced that the occurrence of most liver cancer follows the evolution process of hepatitis B, liver cirrhosis, and liver cancer. The gathering of hepatitis B virus and hepatitis in the family also indirectly leads to the gathering of liver cancer families. For patients with family history, the genetic impact of mothers suffering from liver cancer on the child generation is significantly greater than her father. The reason is mainly related to the vertical transmission of hepatitis B. In addition, the common living environment and eating habits may also be an important reason for the gathering of liver cancer families.

Therefore, regular medical examinations are very important, especially the carriers of hepatitis B virus, at least half a year of targeted physical examination, which helps liver cancer early detection, early diagnosis, and early treatment. According to the condition of hepatitis B carriers, regulate antiviral treatment, block the development of hepatitis to liver cancer, reduce the incidence of liver cancer in the root cause, and increase the survival rate of liver cancer treatment.
