The "Announcement" mentioned that Guanshan cherry blossoms have many years of consumption history in Japan, South Korea and my country, and have been widely consumed as vegetables or food ingredients. my country began to introduce Guanshan Sakura in the 1990s. It is currently widely planted in my country, and has been consumed in Shandong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and other provinces. Both dry and fresh products are edible. According to the Measures for the Administration of Food Safety Law and the Administrative Measures for the Safety Examination of New Food Raw Materials, the National Health and Health Commission entrusted the review agency to review and approve the safety assessment materials of Guanshan cherry blossoms in accordance with legal procedures. The production and use of new food raw materials shall meet the content of the announcement and the requirements of food safety related regulations.

In addition to Guanshan cherry blossoms, the "Announcement" also reviewed and passed the safety assessment materials of 32 "three new foods" such as pyrhylene and pyrine and pyrine.
