Xinhua News Agency, Budapest, August 9th (Reporter Chen Hao) Preliminary statistics released by the Central Statistics Bureau of Hungary's Central Statistics showed that the July consumer price index of Hungary increased by 13.7%compared with the same period last year, the highest increase since July 1998.

This increase is higher than 11.7%in June, exceeding the expectations of 13%of experts, far higher than the 3.0%target set by the National Bank of Hungary.

Data show that in the past 12 months, the price of food and durable consumer goods has increased the largest. Although the Hungarian government stipulated the price of the six basic foods in January this year, the price of food in July increased by 27%year -on -year and a 4.1%month -on -month; the price of durable consumer goods rose by 14%year -on -year, up 1.9%month -on -month. In addition, the core inflation rate of energy and food prices in July was 16.7%, which was higher than 13.8%in June.

In order to reduce the burden of inflation to the people, the Hungarian government implemented automotive fuel price restrictions in November last year. The measures are valid until October 1 this year, but the Hungarian government tightened its scope of application at the end of July, and the company's vehicles no longer enjoy preferential oil prices.

In addition, due to the surge in energy prices, the Hungarian government could not continue to maintain the original family energy price restrictions and decided to start the market price from August 1. That is, when the consumption of family energy is higher than the average level, the electricity price will be increased from 36 Fulin per kilowatt -hour to 70.1 Fulin (about 388 Fulin), and the price of natural gas will be increased from 102 Filin per cubic meter to 747 Fulin Essence

According to the latest forecast of the National Bank of Hungary, Hungary's inflation rate will be between 11%and 12.6%this year.
