[Global Times Comprehensive Report] There is a serious racial discrimination in the British workplace, and more than 120,000 people resign from racial discrimination. The British "Guardian" reported on the 1st that a recent survey carried out by the British Trade Union found that in the past five years, more than 1/4 of the ethnic minorities have encountered racism at work. This has led to their self -confidence in their work, and 8%of the victims resigned due to racial discrimination. The survey found that after being harassed by racism, only 19%of people would report these things to their employers in time. Nearly half of the harassment of racism is worried that employers will not deal with harassment seriously, and many people are worried that reflecting the issue of racial discrimination will not help them to keep their work. In addition, compared to older employees, young ethnic minorities aged 18 to 24 claims to be more likely to be discriminated against racism.

Several of their own experiences described by the survey targets can explain the pressure of the British ethnic minorities in the workplace. A Indian woman in London said that she wanted to work at the counter and was rejected, and the other party told her that she did not want the window employees to wear "ridiculous costumes". A Caribbean black woman was a lecturer in colleges and universities in the southwestern region of England and bought a better car. As a result, some school staff asked her if she was drug trafficking. She reported this matter to the school, but received a reply that it was not painful and itchy: "After all, the main people living here are white people." There are also ethnic minority teachers complaining that the children in the class will ask: "Teacher, teacher, Where did you come from? "

The investigation of the British Trade Union covers 1,750 ethnic minority employees, which is considered to be the largest and most representative benchmarking survey conducted by Britain for minority employees. There are 3.9 million blacks and other ethnic employees in the British workplace.

Tradeers call on employers to take their own responsibilities, protect the interests of ethnic minorities, and build a more inclusive workplace. Some experts point out that if employers do not help ethnic minorities, then a case of racial discrimination in their own unit will gradually develop into the issue of racial discrimination in the entire unit. Some experts also pointed out that in order to oppose the discrimination of the workplace racism, a "structural" mechanism should be established. For example, in order to ensure equal pay for equal workers, employers should announce the salary gap between ethnic minorities and whites, and should take measures to improve the representativeness of ethnic minorities in the board of directors and executives.
