After recycling Japan's waste oil is used to manufacture aviation fuels

In a resource recycling station in Shibuya, Tokyo, there are classified and recycling boxes of different items, and small home appliances, fluorescent lamp pipes, and abandoned edible oil are recovered. Some kitchen waste oil, some have passed the shelf life edible oil. After recycling, these waste oil can be used to produce feed, industrial oil and fuel, including aviation fuel.

Japan: Sustainable aviation fuel helps reduce carbon emissions

On Friday, Narita Airport will introduce sustainable aviation fuels made by Japanese companies to make raw materials for abandoned edible oil. Because the edible oil used in Japan is mainly from plants. Compared with traditional aviation fuel, new fuels are expected to reduce carbon displacement by about 80 %, and the impact on the environment will be greatly reduced. Japan expects development of sustainable aviation fuels. It is estimated that, including family and restaurants, Japan produces about 500,000 tons of waste consumption oil each year, of which 4/5 come from catering and food processing industries. The overall recovery rate is about 80 %. Therefore, in Japan with scarce energy, these waste oils are also called "urban oil fields".

The usage rate of renewable fuel in the Japanese aviation industry in 2030 may reach 10%

The Japanese government plans to replace 10%of domestic airline fuel by 2030 with sustainable aviation fuel. In order to promote popularity, in the first half of this year, related companies in Japan's energy, aviation and other fields have established a negotiation mechanism and cooperation in this year.

New fuel enthusiasts drive the price of waste oil in Japan

Under the rise of traditional energy prices, including Japan, the global new energy development has accelerated. The improvement of sustainable aviation fuel attention has also led to the higher price of waste oil in Japan. According to Japanese media reports, the recent acquisition prices of waste oil have risen significantly, and some areas have doubled compared with last year.
