Agence France-Presse reported that since the collapse of the building on Tuesday, hundreds of rescuers have been searching for the four-story residential building of Jabal Al-Weibdeh, one of Amman's oldest neighborhood.
Police stated that on Wednesday night, the rescue team pulled out three corpses from the rubble to increase the total number of deaths to nine.
It added that they are still "going to contact the remaining trapped people."
A security official who did not want to disclose his name told AFP that of the 16 people who were injured in the tragedy, a 45 -year -old baby and a 45 -year -old man were rescued by the rescuers.
