Since 2003, a series of non -normal regime change occurred in Eurasia. From Georgia's "Rose Revolution" to the "Orange Revolution" in Ukraine, to Kyrgyzstan's "Tulip Revolution", protests occur during the election process, and then developed into a comprehensive political crisis. The U.S. State Department has publicly acknowledged that the "central role" was played in the regime of these countries.

On November 2, 2003, Georgia held a parliamentary election, and the "For the New Georgia" league led by President Shevaldazawa received the most votes. Oppositions have accused the election of "fraud" and organized large -scale protests for several consecutive days. On November 23, Shevaldazawa announced his resignation of president and the opposition leader Sakashvili came to power. This political turmoil is called the "Rose Revolution", not only because of Georgia's rich rose, but also because of the opposition and its supporters holding roses during the protest process. In this "Color Revolution", the United States supports Georgia's opposition to organize large -scale protests, while pressureing Shevaldaze, persuading him to resign, and then the first to acknowledge the opposition regime.

In the Georgia regime, the United States has adopted a variety of means to affect the occurrence and evolution of the situation.

The first is to intervene in Georgia's political situation with a large number of Western non -governmental organizations and local non -governmental organizations with the background of the US government. After the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the United States promoted the so -called Western "democratic solution" to Eurasian countries, trying to influence the relevant national political situation. Georgia is the key impact on it. Statistics show that from 1992 to 2002, the "democratic aid" funds provided by the United States to Georgia reached $ 1 billion. Western non -governmental organizations such as the National Democratic Foundation and the Soros Foundation have established three Georgian non -governmental organizations: non -governmental organization conferences, non -governmental organization and coordination committees, and Georgia joint alliances. Whenever the election, these organizations mobilize the masses, provide transportation, and issue activities for activity; make and render the discredit statement of the government, provide evidence of "fraud" for elections, arouse the dissatisfaction and opposition of the masses; Do work and incite them to carry out "revolution". During the election of the parliament in November 2003, the Soros Foundation and the US International Affairs Democratic Association provided more than $ 50 million to the Georgia opposition to fund them from the recruitment of people across the country to the capital Pilis.

The second is to attract opposition, cultivate pro -American political elites and groups, packaging "democratic fighters" and young people's opinion leaders. Fund assistance provided by Western countries is often attached to political conditions. For example, many assistance funds are specified in the establishment of Western schools and medical institutions controlled by Western control, which provides an infiltration path for Western countries and organizations. The Soros Foundation contributed $ 1.5 million in Georgia to set up the "Camala" youth organization, and invited the so -called "democratic experts" to Georgia for special training to the organization of the organization's more than 2,000 members, and to instill them a lot of Western culture and values. Organize various "democratic activities". Groups that receive these aid and training often agree with American democracy in terms of values, and are used as political tools when provoking Georgia's domestic political struggle.

Third, it has long supported the so -called free independent media in the local area, advocating American democracy and competing for public opinion. The United States invited Georgian media to inspect the United States through non -governmental organizations to provide a lot of support to media institutions and practitioners. Some media practitioners even work directly for Western media. A large part of these people lacks their understanding of their national conditions. They blindly accept the so -called American democratic values ​​and become "information attached" in Western countries such as the United States. This led to Georgia when political turmoil occurred, some media gave up objective positions, abused social mobilization functions, and wasolation and ugliness ruling authorities. For example, Georgia's private television station "Rustavi 2" cooperated with the opposition during the sensitive period of president and parliamentary elections, inciting people's emotions, affecting voters' decision -making, and a helping role in the development of the situation.

After the "Rose Revolution", Georgia was difficult to get out of the predicament for a long time. Politically, the struggle between the new governors and the opposition was fierce, the anti -government protests were frequent, and the political situation was unstable. A relatively serious political crisis occurred from 2007 to 2008. Economically, many state -owned assets are sold cheap and the interests of poor people have been ignored. Data from the World Bank show that in 2007, 38.8%of the Georgians lived below the poverty line in 2007. In terms of safety, after Sakashvili came to power, he expressed his hope to join NATO and build a "NATO standard" military base. The contradiction between Georgia and Russia continued to intensify, and the separation of separation of Abuhaz, South Oussean and other places was even more serious.
