Recently, the first research on the incidence of cancer and health services for children and adolescents in my country was published in the "Liuye knife".

The study was completed by Ni Xin, a professor of Beijing Children's Hospital, a professor of Beijing Children's Hospital affiliated to the National Children's Medical Center Capital Medical University with the guidance and support of the National Health Commission.

The study first reported the comprehensive data of the latest incidence of cancer in children and adolescents in my country.

The results showed that from 2018 to 2020, a total of 1,21145 children and adolescents in my country were diagnosed as cancer patients.

The study also found that health services can be one of the decisive factors of a healthy society and have an important impact on the incidence of cancer in children and adolescents in my country.

Studies further point out intervention measures to improve the status of cancer in children and adolescents in my country.

The incidence of cancer for children and adolescents is undervalued

Cancer is one of the main reasons for the death of children and adolescents around the world. The incidence of cancer in children and adolescents reported by high -income countries is higher than those of low -income countries.

However, more than 80%of children's cancer cases occur in low -income countries.

Due to the lack of high -quality children's cancer registration data and the existence of more than 16%of the current population, the lack of data, the incidence of cancer in children and adolescents in my country was underestimated.

In China, the incidence of cancer on children and adolescents under the perspective of economic development has never been reported.

In June 2019, the National Health Commission approved the establishment of the National Children's Cancer Monitoring Center for the National Children's Hospital of the Capital Medical University of the National Children's Medical Center to incorporate the national cancer diagnosis and treatment institution in the children's tumor monitoring network.

As of September 2022, the children's tumor monitoring network has covered 587 children's tumor monitoring points across the country, and 1.86 million children's cancer case information has been registered.

The Ni Xin team thoroughly analyzed the monitoring data of the national child tumor monitoring network and the database information of the relevant national field. It is estimated that from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2020, Chinese children (0-14 years old) and adolescents (15-9 years old ) Cancer incidence.

Based on the international classification standards for children's tumors, 12 major diagnostic groups, 47 sub -groups and 81 cancer subtypes were reported.

The results of the research show that from 2018 to 2020, the average annual child and adolescent cancer patients are 403,800 new children and adolescents; the average 3 -year total incidence is 126.48/million; ~ The incidence of cancer in 19 -year -old is 137.64/million.

Among children, the top three cancers are leukemia (42.33/million), central nervous system tumors (19.59/million) and lymphoma (11.54/million); among young people, malignant epithelial cancer and melanin The tumor ranks first (30.39/million), followed by leukemia (30.08/million) and central nervous system tumor (16.75/million).

It is worth noting that this study found that leukemia accounted for about 32%and lymphoma accounted for about 9.7%. Nearly 60%of patients were physical tumor patients, indicating that the burden of epidemic disease in children's physical tumors was underestimated.

To optimize the allocation of children's cancer sanitary resource allocation

Provide data support

The country attaches great importance to the prevention and treatment of major illnesses in my country. Among them, diseases represented by child cancer have received special attention.

The National Health and Health Commission has taken the lead in the treatment of diseases and full management of children's cancer in the country, and has incorporated 220,000 patients with cancer patients into the entire management.

The biggest innovation point in this research is based on the human development index of the country and different human development indexes to study 4 health service indicators related to the diagnosis of children's tumor diagnosis. The population and geographical density of children's tumor doctors, pathology/technicians, children's tumor diagnosis and treatment institutions and pediatric beds are also positively correlated with the level of human development index.

The results of this research not only provide quantitative data evidence for the health administrative department to accurately optimize children's cancer resource allocation and my country's cancer prevention and control measures and policies formulation, but also for the need for my country to promote the construction of national medical centers and regional medical centers in recent years. It provides objective evidence with importance.

Ni Xin's team suggested that in the process of promoting the hierarchical diagnosis and treatment, fully consider the construction of children's cancer health service capabilities as one of the standards for establishing and evaluating the regional children's medical centers and regional cancer centers. Sanitary service resources ensure that children with cancer enjoy convenient medical services in the region and even in the province, and reduce the phenomenon of non -medical expenses brought about by different places.

At the same time, strengthen the linkage between grass -roots medical and health institutions/maternal and child health hospitals and national medical centers and regional medical centers to enhance early identification and early diagnosis capabilities of children in various places.

Control the global child cancer control

As a member of the World Health Organization, the Chinese government actively responds to the global child cancer initiative of the World Health Organization.

The treatment of cancer and the research of children in my country has made positive contributions to global children's cancer control.

The research report published this time pointed out that with the popularization of my country's medical insurance (96.3%) and the implementation of the inter -provincial medical insurance payment settlement system, children and adolescent patients can choose hospitals or inter -provincial medical services. The restrictions have greatly alleviated the dilemma of cancer children in regions in limited areas of children's cancer diagnosis and treatment resources to enjoy high -quality health services. This study provides valuable scientific evidence and practical experience for children with services to improve services, promote convenient medical services, and reduce the burden of disease.

The Sumit Gupta of the Toronto Disease Children's Hospital in Canada commented on the study on behalf of a very successful child cancer plan for low and medium -income countries, responding to the global child cancer initiative of the World Health Organization, and made significant progress in the global children's cancer control.

Ni Xin, director of the National Children's Tumor Monitoring Center, said that the monitoring center will further evaluate the burden on the disease of children's tumors in my country, including the survival rate and mortality rate of children's tumors; based on the development of children's tumor databases based on the national child tumor monitoring platform, it is standardized for different diseases. Guidelines for diagnosis and treatment; evaluate the effectiveness of children's tumor prevention and control measures; conduct research on children's tumor survivors, related research on children's tumor medication, promote drug development and results transformation; promote children's tumor policy formulation and effect assessment.
