Earlier, the Hangma Organizing Committee issued an announcement of the cancellation of the 2021 Hangzhou Marathon offline competition, which was changed to the online competition. This is the first time that the Hangzhou Marathon has started online for the first time.

Regarding the registration issues that running fans are most concerned about, Jin Yiqun, deputy director of the Provincial Sports Bureau Competition Center, said that this competition retains the number of registered players last year, and in principle, it is no longer accepting registration. Founded in 1987, Hangzhou Marathon is one of the oldest events in the Chinese competition. After years of development, Hangma has won honors such as the International Marathon and Road Running Association (AIMS) certification, the World Field Field Elite Signing Competition, the China Field Association Gold Medal Competition, and the National Sports Industry Demonstration Project.
