In June 2008, the Management Committee of the Eastern Industrial Collecting Zone of Wenling City was formally established. At the beginning of its establishment, the East China Sea Pond Weeping Project was basically completed, but in addition to the large breeding ponds in the enclosure, it was still deserted. In 2012, after all the surrounding project passed the acceptance, the Eastern New District began to develop greatly.

After ten years of hard work, 284 projects (224) have been introduced in the Eastern New District, and the industrial agglomeration has been concentrated in the initial scale, and the production benefits are gradually emerging. Today, the Eastern New Area has become the main platform for the transformation and upgrading of Wenling Industry, and it is also a new growth pole of the economic development of Wenling regional. It has become a new entrepreneurial city with an industry, a beautiful leisure city and an ecological friendly livable new city.
