"Regulations Express" India TEC (MTCTE) certificate has been extended from 5 years to 10 years of validity

On July 1, 2022, the Indian Telecommunications Engineering Center (TEC) issued the 57 /2022-TC /TEC notice.

Notice content: Clarify that telecommunications equipment compulsory test certification (MTCTE) certificates have been extended from the original 5 years to 10 years to valid to reduce the compliance burden of the industry and enterprises.

Effective date: This announcement can take effect from the date of issuance.

About TEC -MTCTE certification

The TEC -MTCTE certification is India's mandatory testing and certification for electronic communication products. Communication products that produce, imported, distributed or sold in the Indian market need to pass MTCTE for mandatory certification.

The MTCTE certification plan includes the following two:

1. General Certification Plan (GCS)/ Interface License (TAC/ IAC)

General Certification Scheme (GCS) Type/ Interface Approval Certification (TAC/ IAC)

2. Simplify certification plan (SCS)

SIMPLIFIED CERTICION SCHEME (SCS) (SCS)

Main electronic communication equipment within the SCS range:

I. Electronic communication equipment of the two -line interface (administrative telephone system, NSD/ISD paid phone, electronic telephone, key telephone system, key telephone system, coin -to -phone telephone, for connecting PSTN terminal, CLIP phone)

6. System specifications, including the characteristics and abilities of applying for a license device

8. Software and hardware installation guidelines, system support and maintenance guidelines

9. Oath of each application model

10. Infrastructure evaluation form (only suitable for Indian manufacturers)

11. If it is a trader, the manufacturer's authorization letter contains the time of authorization.

12. If it is a trader/branch, you need to state the test and maintenance facility of the product

13. EMC, EMI test results and test certificates issued by the recognition laboratory

14 Test instruments and calibration certificates

15. Each page submitted to the file requires the signature and seal certification of the authorization person
