The Kaifu Gorge Hydropower Station is located on the Koffay River, about 90 kilometers south of Zambia's capital Lusca. It was built by China Electric Power Construction Group Co., Ltd. and started construction in November 2015. The hydropower station is installed with 5 mixed -current generating units, with a total installed capacity of 750 MW. After completion, it will greatly improve the power supply capacity of Zambia. In July 2021, the first group of the hydropower station had successfully connected the grid -connected power generation, and it is expected that the entire project will be fully completed by the end of this year.

At the scene of the visit, the Ambassador to Zambia Du Xiaohui and Zambia Agricultural Minister Matolo Phorhta jointly signed the inspection and quarantine agreement between Zambia to export soybean meal and steva leaves to China. Chicorma witnessed the signing of the agreement and stated that the agreement will open up a broader international market for Zabeia's agricultural products and create more employment opportunities for the Zambia people.
