On August 8th, near Xinzhuang Village, Wutun Street, Yanliang District, Xi'an, Shaanxi, a car fell into the Erlongkou Reservoir after hitting the roadside guardrail. Five people were trapped in the car. Three men nearby went to the rescue and successfully rescued five people ashore. However, one of the rescuers Jiang Zhengquan sank into the water because of exhaustion of physical strength. Life was fixed at the age of 44 (Extreme News reported). On the morning of the 12th, the farewell ceremony of Jiang Zhengquan's body was held at Funeral Palm in Fuping County, Weinan, Shaanxi. After the farewell ceremony, Jiang Zhengquan's body was cremated in the funeral home.

At about 10 am on the 12th, vehicles with Jiang Zhengquan's ashes slowly drove out of the funeral home. Jiang Zhengquan's ashes will be brought back to Chongqing's hometown in Chongqing's hometown under the escort of governments in Shaanxi and Chongqing.
