That night, the couple rushed back to the community from Qingcheng Mountain and made an application to the community.

Gao Zefei's application was soon approved by the authentic community. On the morning of August 31, under the premise of implementing the requirements of the epidemic prevention and control, Gao Zefei came to Xiguitang District to carry out voluntary services. "I am mainly responsible for environmental disinfecting, material registration and transportation at the scene." Gao Zefei said, "As a retired soldier, the epidemic should be at the forefront."

The risk has not been lifted. After being interviewed by the reporter, Gao Zefei quickly devoted himself to the work of voluntary service.
