According to the China Manned Aerospace Engineering Office, at 18:26 on September 1, 2022, Beijing time, astronauts Chen Dong successfully opened the cabin door of the Qi Tian experiment compartment. At 19:09, astronauts Chen Dong and astronaut Liu Yang successfully came out of the cabin.

At present, the two out -of -the -cabin astronauts have completed the installation of the foot limiter and the overseas workbench. In the future, with the support of the small robotic arm, the installation of the expansion of the experimental compartment pump group and the inquiries of the experimental compartment will be raised. Wait for homework, and carry out an external transfer emergency return ability verification. During the period, the astronaut Cai Xuzhe cooperated in the core cabin to support two out -of -class spacemen to conduct off -cabin operations.

This is the first time that my country's astronauts have implemented outside activities from the outlet of the air gates of the Tiangtian Experimental Counter. It is also the first time that Chen Dong and Liu Yang performed the outlet event.
