Today (2nd), at the Beijing International Services Trade Fair, Beijing Fangshan District signed a letter of intent for cooperation in the Beijing Base Cooperation of the Chinese Panda Protection Research Center in Beijing, which is expected to start at the end of the year.

The Beijing Base of the China Panda Protection Research Center is located in Qinglong Lake Town, Fangshan District. The planned land area exceeds 133 hectares. It is intended to be constructed into a rare endangered and endangered wildlife protection demonstration base that integrates the functions of giant panda breeding, scientific research, and science education.

Beijing garden greening and planning land departments stated that the mountains and rivers in Qinglonghu Town are beautiful and the ecological environment is superior. It can effectively expand the giant panda living space and create better animal benefits. The base will also give full play to the advantages of Beijing's scientific research, talent and other resources to help achieve new technological breakthroughs in panda breeding and treatment.

Zou Jinsong, secretary of the Fangshan District Committee of Beijing, said that the "Beijing Grand Panda Park Preparation Headquarters" has been established. Professional teams such as the Gardening Bureau of Fangshan District and the first brigade of the project investment entity have settled in the office to ensure that the work is properly advanced. The project design plan and planning comprehensive implementation plan have been basically stable. Panda houses and animal hospitals are planned to start at the end of this year, and strive to operate at the end of 2024.
