At 12:52 on September 5, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with a depth of 16 kilometers.After receiving the report, the Office of the State Council's Earthquake Resistance Headquarters and the Emergency Management Department immediately launched a national earthquake emergency three -level response, and the State Disaster Reduction Commission and the Emergency Management Department initiated the national level IV disaster relief emergency response.

After the earthquake, the State Council ’s earthquake relief headquarters sent a working group to the scene to guide the earthquake relief work, and at the same time dispatched the national comprehensive fire rescue forces to rush to the earthquake area.

The Sichuan Provincial Fire Rescue Corps Luding County's Qianyu Group 30 people rushed to the earthquake to check the disaster.
