At 12:52 on September 5th, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred near Moxi Town, Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, with a depth of 16 kilometers. According to the Ganzi Prefecture Government News Office, at present, the earthquake has killed seven people in Luding County. The damage to roads, communications, and houses is being checked one after another.

After the earthquake, the secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Wang Xiaohui, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Huang Qiang, the governor of the provincial party committee, talked with Ganzi Prefecture and Luding County for the first time, and made instructions. Huang Qiang, deputy secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor, led the relevant provincial departments to Luding, and is now rushing to the earthquake in the disaster area to guide earthquake relief.
