At 12:52 on September 5, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan, with a depth of 16 kilometers.The earthquake caused part of the communication of Luding County and Ya'an City in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture.

After the earthquake, the Sichuan Provincial Communications Administration, together with the Sichuan Provincial Emergency Management Department, urgently dispatched the "large -scale high -altitude full -network emergency communication drone" from Zigong Aviation Industrial Park, rushed to the over earthquake to perform public communication coverage missions, established "air base stations" as "Correspondences of rescue disaster relief command and affected people provide communication security services.
