At 12:52 on September 5, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan.
Up to now, the Luding earthquake has killed 21 people and more than 30 people have been injured. Some infrastructure such as water, electricity, transportation, and communication have been damaged.
