At 12:52 on September 5, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province.

At the time of the earthquake, Liu Hai and the financial manager Yang Hong, director of the Huguogou Long March Hotel Office, were working in Luding County because of going out. After the earthquake, Liu Hai and Yang Hong immediately decided to rush back to the hotel to participate in the rescue.

According to Liu Hai, after the earthquake, he contacted the hotel colleagues for the first time, but he couldn't contact anyway. The anxious bangs immediately decided to rush back to the hotel with Yang Hong to participate in the rescue.

"I have many years of work experience and have certain rescue experience." Liu Hai said that he and Yang Hong set off from Luding County. After 40 minutes of driving, he found that the road was severely damaged and could only go back to the hotel by walking. "Along the way, we spent nearly three hours and ran back to the hotel with the rescue team, and ran to the hotel while rescue."

After returning to the hotel, Liu Hai quickly participated in the rescue work. "At present, the houses in Hailuogou (Moxi) are almost unable to live." Liu Hai introduced that after the Long March Hotel eliminated the danger, he used a open space in the hotel to provide material guarantee for multiple rescue teams and local affected residents.
