Chinese Academy of Sciences: 1 person in Chengdu Mountain Institute was unfortunate

At 12:52 noon on September 5, a magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred in Luding, Sichuan, causing the observation test stations of the Gongga Mountain Ecosystem of Gongga Mountain Ecosystem near the Chengdu Mountain Disaster and Environment of the Institute of Gongga Mountain in the Earthquake.connection.

After the earthquake, the Chinese Academy of Sciences immediately launched an emergency response. The main leaders of the Chengdu Mountain Institute took the team to the Gongga Mountain Station to participate in the on -site rescue.

After preliminary verification, it is currently confirmed that one person is unfortunately killed and three persons are injured, and the remaining 14 personnel are safe.The victims were Liu Mou, a graduate student of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, who participated in the scientific research work at the station.

Chengdu Mountains and National University of Science and Technology have carried out contacts and resettlement of families of the victims, and psychological rescue of survivors.We deeply cherished Liu from the unfortunate death of Liu, and expressed heartfelt thanks to the forces participating in the rescue!

At present, the Chengdu Mountain Institute is working on emergency rescue forces to carry out other post -disaster rescue work.
