The second phase of Wuhan Metro Line 5 starts from Hongxia Village Station, and is connected to the University of Science and Technology Station with the starting point of Line 5. The line length is about 2.63 kilometers, all of which are elevated lines, with a total of 2 stops and 2 range. The line contains the return line, Hongxia Village Station, Hongxia Village Station-Science and Technology University Station, University of Science and Technology, and University of Science and Technology.

Hongxia Village Station is located in the west side of the intersection of Huangjiahu West Road and Huangjiahu Fifth Street. The total length of the station is 154.8 meters, with a total width of 23.6 meters. A total of 4 ground floor entrances are set up, two of which are located on the side of Baishazhou Avenue and the other two are located on the west side of Huangjiahu.

The University of Science and Technology is located in the west side of the intersection of Huangjiahu West Road and Huangjiahu Sanjie Street. The total length of the station is 159.4 meters, with a total width of 23 meters. The entrance and exit settings are similar to Hongxia Village Station.
