22 departments further regulate the investigation and processing of scientific research dishonesty behavior

The rules have a total of seven chapters and 53, which further regulates the investigation procedure and provides a unified scale. The investigation and treatment of scientific research dishonesty has a more operable processing rules.

The scientific research disclaimed in the rules issued this time refers to the violations of scientific research behavior rules and specifications in scientific research and related activities. The rules are clear that the relevant authorities and colleges and universities, scientific research institutions, medical and health institutions, enterprises, social organizations and other units shall not be relocated to scientific research, and any unit or individual shall not obstruct or interfere with scientific research dishonesty. The parties and witnesses of scientific research outbreaks should actively cooperate with the investigation, truthfully explain the situation and provide evidence, and shall not forge, tamper, hide, and destroy evidence materials.

At the same time, the rules also further clarified the division of responsibilities of the investigation and processing of scientific research, and clearly stated that the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences were responsible for coordinating the research and processing of scientific research in the field of natural sciences and philosophy and social sciences. Those who have caused general attention or involving multiple departments (units) involved in the scientific research dishonesty, which can organize joint investigations or coordinate different departments (units) to conduct investigation and treatment.

It is reported that during the revision of the rules, more than a hundred opinions and suggestions of feedback from all parties were conducted. The rules formed on this basis have condensed the consensus of member units and science and technology communities of scientific research integrity construction.
