Guo An was investigated and was the mayor of Nanchang City

On the afternoon of September 16, the Jiangxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection issued news that Guo An, the chairman of the Provincial People's Congress Education, Culture and Health Committee, was suspected of serious disciplinary violations and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision and investigation.

The official resume shows that Guo An was born in October 1962. He was born in Xinfeng, Jiangxi, and worked in Yichun and Jingdezhen. In August 2011, he transferred the provincial capital Nanchang and served as deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and secretary of the Political and Legal Committee. In August 2013, he served as the mayor of Nanchang City, and went to the right in January 2014.

In March 2018, Guo An was the secretary of the Yingtan Municipal Party Committee. In January 2021, he transferred to the Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress and served as the director of the Education and Culture and Health Committee.

Public reports show that Guo An's last public appearance was on August 22. On the morning of the same day, he participated in a centralized study organized by the Party Branch of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress Teaching and Culture and Health Committee.

It is worth mentioning that Gong Jianhua, former deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Congress, served as secretary of the Nanchang Municipal Party Committee from March 2015 to October 2016, and "set up a team" with Guo An. Gong Jianhua was investigated in November last year and was prosecuted by the People's Procuratorate of Zhangzhou, Fujian in August this year.
