On September 21, the website of the Shanxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection issued a news that Yan Wenquan, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Shanxi Provincial Energy Bureau, was suspected of serious disciplinary violations and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Shanxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection.

Yan Wenquan, male, Han nationality, born in October 1967, Shanxi Pingzhi, graduate degree, joined the Communist Party of China in December 1988, and joined the work in July 1989.He has successively served as deputy general manager of Yangquan Coal Industry (Group) Co., Ltd., a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Shanxi Provincial Department of Coal Industry.In October 2018, he served as a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Energy Bureau of Shanxi Province.
