The construction of the Huaihong Xinhe Irrigation District, which has a construction period of 48 months, has a design irrigation area of 3.43 million acres, of which 1.71 million mu can be improved, and the irrigation area is 1.72 million mu.The irrigation district project is mainly agricultural irrigation and drainage, taking into account urban water supply and improving the ecological environment of the water.

The six new irrigation district projects promoted by the State Council this year are Jiangxi Daxuan Irrigation District, Jiangxi Meijiang Irrigation District, Guangxi Datangxia irrigation district, Guangxi Longyun irrigation district, Hainan Niuling irrigation district, and Huaihong Xinhe irrigation district.
