China News Network Xining, September 24 (Li Ji Li Jichen) On the 24th, the reporter learned from the people's government of the Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province that the state Gangcha County and National Energy Group Longyuan, which is known as the "Hometown of Pu's Hometown" (Beijing) Carbon Asset Management Technology Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement for the development of grassland carbon exchange projects to jointly promote the development of grassland carbon exchange in Gangcha County. This project is the first grassland carbon exchange project in Hubei, Qinghai Hubei, and is also an innovative exploration of degenerate grassland degradation and carbon exchange efficiency.

Haibei Prefecture, Qinghai Province is located in the central part of Qilian Mountain and the north bank of Qinghai Lake. It is an important resource -enriched area, plateau ecological tourism destination, and multi -culture gathering place in Qinghai Province. There are Qilianshan National Park Qinghai District and Qinghai Lake National Park. Qinghai Lake and its basin are one of the important wetlands of the Qinghai -Tibet Plateau.

Gangcha County's grassland resources are abundant. It is a gathering place for the Pu's original antelopes to live in the Pu's original. It has the first Puchu original antelope special protection area and is "the hometown of Pu's original antelope". The county's grassland area is 724,000 hectares, accounting for 88.96%of the county's area, and has extremely prominent carbon exchange advantages. In order to develop degraded grassland governance to repair carbon exchange and fully tap the existing grassland carbon exchange resources, the county initially selected 64,000 hectares of grasslands for carbon exchange projects. 40 years of carbon exchange volume can reach 3.6 million tons.

The income generated after the successful development of carbon exchange can not only promote agricultural and animal husbandry to increase their income, but also provide technical and funding support for the supervision of grassland resources, protect the retention of grasslands, and develop the special economy and green industries in the grassland. Prairie ecological benefits, economic benefits, and social benefits provide effective paths.

It is reported that Haibei Prefecture will establish a carbon exchange ecological product development system, integrate grassland carbon exchange into the ecological protection and restoration project and the overall governance of the "landscape, forest, field lake and sand", and use the market -oriented mechanism to penetrate the value of ecological products.
