Recently, some Shanghai citizens reported to the police that there was a crocodile of about 1 meter in the Huangpu River and provided related audio and video materials. (Previously reported :) Dedicated by animal experts, the crocodile is a sub -adult Siamese crocodile, which is mainly distributed in Southeast Asia and has certain aggressiveness. Considering the safety of citizens, Shanghai Public Security Organs and several relevant departments have formulated a series of arrest plans. In the end, the Siamese crocodile was successfully captured.

The reporter was informed that the Shanghai Border Defense Public Security Bureau and the Xuhui Branch have conducted water and land search along the coast of Huangpu River for 6 consecutive days. The trace of the crocodile was found at the embankment.

The police first contacted the relevant departments of the Agricultural and Rural Commission, the Sanitation Department, the Animal Protection Association and other relevant departments. According to the plan, the professionals of the Agricultural Committee conducted on -site command and implemented specific arrests.

Considering the characteristics and living habits of the crocodile, it was finally decided to use the capture method to arrest. While ensuring the success rate of the arrest, it ensures that the arrest process does not cause damage to the crocodile.

After many days of observation, the arrests were fabricated in the area often in the crocodile and placed frozen fish as a bait in the surrounding area. When the crocodile goes to eat, the fishing net that is embedded in advance cannot be moved. The staff quickly uses fire tongs to control it and transfer it to the shore.

At present, the Siamese crocodile has been sent to the aquatic wildlife assistance base in Chuansha Town, Pudong New District, and is handed over to professionals for care.
