The water quality of the surface of Hunan Province is generally a centralized drinking water source at Youcheng's centralized drinking water.

On September 26, the Provincial Department of Ecological and Environment released the water quality monitoring data from January to August: 98.6%of the section of the province's surface and water nation was Ⅰ to III excellent water quality, an increase of 1.4 percentage points year -on -year;Excellent water quality, an increase of 1.5 percentage points year -on -year.

The monitoring shows that the water quality of the river in Hunan Province is good, and the 99.8%section is Ⅰ to III water quality. Among them, the quality of Xiang, Zi, 沅, and dry flowing water is better than the Ⅱ standard;The proportion of water -like water is 53.1%.

The control and reduction of the total phosphorus pollution of Dongting Lake achieved certain results.From January to August, the water quality of Changdehu District is the best, with the water quality of type III, with a total phosphorus average concentration of 0.046 mg/liters; Yiyang Lake District is type III water quality, with a total phosphorus average concentration of 0.048 mg/liter.

The safety of drinking water for residents was strongly guaranteed.
