The high -speed rail along the river is a major measure to promote the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and is a major national basic construction project. With the strong support of the Hubei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology, Wuhan University Yangtze River Civilization and Archeology Research Institute sent young teachers and students to participate in the archeological cultural relics protection project of the Wujia Tuotou site to contribute to the construction of the high -speed railway along the river and the prehistoric civilization research of the Yangtze River. Essence Archaeological players are responsible for cultural relics and responsible for history. They are not afraid of hard work. They are soil in sunny days, and they are mud in rainy days. Promote research on prehistoric civilization in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.

The Wujia Tuotou site is located in the six southwest of Yaoling Village, Shihe Town, Tianmen City, about 500 meters southwest, 250 meters from the Tang Matai site south, and the Wuhan -Jingmen section of the along riverside high -speed railway through the site. The site has an existing area of more than 30,000 square meters. The main body is located on the east side of the Tian (Gate) -Ti (River) highway. The villagers have discovered the ancient human relics such as braised soil and pottery slices. According to the third national cultural relics census information and the preliminary survey of the Hubei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology, there were more gray soil areas in the water field where the Wujia tomb site was located, and it was found that there were tripods, crickets, cans, wares, and red pottery cups. The residual films of the utensils were also found to have stone axes, stone chisels and other stone tools. According to its morphological characteristics, the age of the site was initially judged.

Since July 2022, the Hubei Provincial Institute of Cultural Rotor Archeology and the Yangtze River Civilization Archeology Research Institute of Wuhan University formed an archaeological team, settled in the Wujia tomb site, and began to discover the scientific fields. During the excavation, the cultural relics of the Wujia tomb site were relatively rich in cultural relics, with a deepest part of about 1.6 meters. Cultural accumulation can be divided into three periods: Yau Ziling Culture, Qujialing Culture, and Shijiahe Culture. The cultural relics of Yousingling found that there were early cone -shaped heads, cups, etc., and also found that the late -shaped tripod, coil -shaped front -shaped trimed, was enough to reach the ingredient cup, short folding edge, cans and other utensils. The remains, the ruins include the location of the room, the ash pit, etc. The cultural relics of Qujialing found that there are residual slices such as double -belly tripod, double -belly bowl, and beans. The pottery color is mainly gray pottery and black pottery. Shijiahe cultural relics are the most abundant. It is found that a large number of red pottery cups are found, and there are also more wide plate -shaped tripod, thick tire tanks, pottery plastic animals, etc. The relics include ash pits and gray gaps. In the past archeological discoveries in the Handong region, there were fewer sites that have been scientifically excavated in the early days of Yau Ziling culture. Only a small number of Tianmen Longzui, Tanjialing, Jingshan Yau Ziling and other places. , Dawenkou Culture in the lower Yellow River, Songze Culture in Taihu Lake, Daxi Culture in Western Hubei and Dongting Lake Plain, all are very strong, with many sites and dense sites. Therefore, the discovery and research of the early relics of Yau Ziling culture still requires more work. The discovery of the relics of the Wujia tomb site at this time will undoubtedly add information to study the spectrum and regional settlement form of the early relics of Yau Ziling culture. Later, in the late period of Yousing Culture, a large -scale cultural integration was carried out in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. Except for the late Daxi Culture in the Gorge River area, the middle reaches of the Yangtze River basically became a region of the late Yasling culture. During the cultural period of Qujialing and Shijiahe, this cultural community was further enhanced, and the cultural distribution area was further expanded. In these three periods, the cultural center of the Handong area is located in the ancient city area of Shijiahe. The Wujia grave not only exists in these three periods of relics, but also closer to the ancient city of Shijiahe. Provide us with a case of observing the social relationship between the ancient city of Shijiahe and the surrounding satellite settlements.
