This is a shot of the Jinji for photography enthusiasts on a hillside in Erdaoqiao Village, Yala Township, Kangding City.

The brocade is the most gorgeous species in the family. The male bird is famous for its magnificent feathers. There are only two kinds of brocade chickens all over the world -red -belly brocade chickens and white -bellied brocade chickens are distributed in China. Among them, red -bellied brocade chickens are unique to my country and are national secondary protection animals. The ancients used the Jinji as the prototype and imagined the phoenix that implied auspiciously.

The male bird of the red -bellied brocade is a "strong face". The male bird's head has a golden yellow silk crown, and the hind neck shawl is orange -brown. Except for dark green on the upper back, most of them are golden yellow, and the waist feathers are dark red. The upper body of the female bird is brown, the tail is pale brown, and the lower body is brownish yellow.

Bai -belly brocade is also called copper chicken. The male bird's head, top, back, chest, etc. are emerald green, which disperse metallic luster. There is a purple -red feather crown formed on the head. Like "small braids", it is scattered on the hind neck and silver white in the abdomen. The tail feathers are gray, with black and white cloud -like spots and horizontal spots.

Yala Township is an important reproduction and habitat for white belly brocade, with hundreds of populations. But in the wild, it is not easy to shoot Jinji. Because it is sensitive to hearing and the speed of action is extremely fast, as soon as it is discovered by human beings, it is disappeared. Photography enthusiasts say they need to use a telephoto lens at least 200mm.
